AccessKit ("we," "us," or "our") operates the https://xskit.dev website and the @access-kit/react npm package. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information we collect

Analytics We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data such as page views, referrer URLs, browser type, and country. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies and does not collect personal information. You can learn more in Vercel's privacy policy at https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Payments If you choose to make a supporter contribution on our Pricing page, your payment is processed entirely by Stripe. We do not receive or store your credit card number. Stripe may collect your email address, billing details, and payment method information in accordance with Stripe's privacy policy at https://stripe.com/privacy. We receive only a confirmation that a payment was made, the amount, and the email address associated with the transaction.

Newsletter If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address for the sole purpose of sending you accessibility-related content and product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.

Local storage The @access-kit/react package stores user accessibility preferences (such as reduced motion, high contrast, and font size) in your browser's localStorage under the key accesskit:settings. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.

Cookies We use a single functional cookie (sidebar_state) to remember your sidebar preference on the documentation pages. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Information we do not collect

We do not require user accounts. We do not track individual users across sessions. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-party services

Data retention

Stripe retains payment records in accordance with their own policies and applicable financial regulations. Newsletter email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. We do not maintain any other personal data stores.

Your rights

You may request deletion of any personal data we hold (such as your email address from our newsletter list) by contacting us. If you made a Stripe payment, you can manage your payment information through Stripe's customer portal.

Children's privacy

AccessKit is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
